"Having grown up at CCF, I have to say that I have 'officially' been on staff since 2014.  I have a BS in Education with a minor in Special Education from Liberty University.  Primarily, I work with the elementary level children at CCF.  I also focus on our family-centered community events such as the Fall Festival and Easter Egg Hunt and even our monthly Kids' Night Out.  Even though the big events are fun, I feel most at home in the classroom with the children of CCF.

My husband, Gabe, and I are the proud parents of Clara and Rory."

safety

Chesapeake Kids is dedicated to providing a safe environment for your child. This safe environment includes more than just ensuring that our classrooms are up to code. To ensure the safety of your child, Chesapeake Kids has developed a system of checks and balances that cohesively work to protect the children, volunteers, and the ministry.

Realm is our electronic check-in system that is utilized throughout every branch of Chesapeake Kids. Through this system, every child will receive a name tag with an alphanumeric code, and the parent will receive a claim tag with only the alphanumeric code. This code cannot be replicated for any reason. The claim tag must be present at dismissal to ensure the child is released to the proper adult.

Second, Chesapeake Kids takes great pride in the quality of our volunteers. Every volunteer 18 years or older is required to have a complete background check. Any volunteers that are not yet 18 are always paired with an adult and have come to us with credible recommendations.

CURRICULUM

Long gone are the days of perforated worksheets and the telling of Bible stories through felt boards. Chesapeake Kids strives to make disciples of each child through the usage of a high-energy curriculum called Orange. Orange meets each child where they are through age-appropriate worship, main points, skits, Bible lessons, small group lessons, crafts and games. Orange also allows for each child’s active mind to stay stimulated by allowing for new themes and ideas to be discovered every eight weeks.
Preschool-aged children receive Bible-focused, age-appropriate lessons.
